Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Disinfecting

Do you know the difference between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting? 

CLEANING – Cleaning is the physical process of removing dirt, viruses and pathogens, typically using soap and water. While it doesn’t necessarily kill germs, by removing them from surfaces and objects – including hands – you lower the risk of spreading infection.

SANITIZING – Sanitizing consists of a process that reduces, but does not necessarily eliminate, microorganisms from the environment and surfaces.

DISINFECTING – Disinfecting is cleaning with a sanitizing solution that destroys microorganisms listed on its label. The microorganisms they kill are pathogens but may not kill all viruses and fungi. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), disinfectants must reduce the level of pathogenic bacteria by 99.99 percent for a period greater than 5 minutes but not exceeding 10 minutes.

Depending on the use, Pursue™ can make approximately from 64 to 256 liters. In a medical environment, you can get approximately 64 liters out of one Pursue™ bottle. For Non-Medical you can get approximately up to 128 liters, and for sanitizing you can get up to 256 liters.
